If you were cool enough, you were invited or at least heard about the "Ink Slingas Ball" at the United States Art Authority in Austin this past weekend. Lots of good artists.

It was a lot of fun, and I got to meet new people and rep the Monster Kids. There was a band that played called HUG. They played such hits as:

Since i'm mostly dead, i've been watching a lot of TV, especially Seinfeld. Do you rememebr the one where Jerry meets Janeane Garofalo, and they are exactly the same so Jerry asks her to marry him? anywho, they both order Cherrio's for dinner, and I cant stop thinking about them.

Amy Poehler is knocked up with Will Arnett's baby! Yes, she's a Baby Mama. I know! Their rep confirmed to People Magazine that they are expecting a little one this Fall. The two have been married since 2003. It's their first baby.

Will and Amy better give that baby an awesome name or I just don't know about them. The world will be severely disappointed if they don't name baby after a fruit, vegetable or cartoon character.

Ernest Hemingway was a great writer, maybe the greatest writer of the last century—well who the hell did you think it was?—and he was an enormous bitch. And he was at his bitchiest best after he blew his brains out. First there was his posthumously published A Moveable Feast, in which he made famously made fun of Gertrude Stein, and most noteably F. Scott Fitzgerald's penis. Ever since, his biographers have churned out volumes about his life, his technique, and his mean streak. Now, A.E. Hotchner, who's been dining out on Hemingway for a lifetime, is coming out with The Good Life According to Hemingway, in which he recalls how much the Old Man hated Hollywood.

"When producer David O. Selznick crowed that his wife, Jennifer Jones, was starring in "A Farewell to Arms" and he'd pay Hemingway a $50,000 bonus from any profits, the novelist wrote back: 'If by some miracle, your movie, which stars 41-year-old Mrs. Selznick portraying 24-year-old Catherine Barkley, does earn $50,000, you should have all $50,000 changed into nickels at your local bank and shove them up your [bleep] until they came out of your ears.'
The rest of these chestnuts have been showing up in Hemingway biographies forever, but, hey, Hotchner's gotta eat.

"Darryl F. Zanuck, the boss of 20th Century Fox, was trashed when he asked Hemingway to shorten the title of 'The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber,' which starred Gregory Peck. Hotchner quotes Hemingway, 'I said, you want something short and exciting that will catch the eye of both sexes, right?' He then reeled off the first letters of Hollywood studio names that together spelled out the F-word. 'That should fit all the marquees and you can't beat it as a sex symbol.' Zanuck titled the film 'The Macomber Affair.'

"Of 'The Sun Also Rises,' Hemingway raged: 'Any picture in which Errol Flynn is the best actor is its own worst enemy.' As for 'The Old Man and the Sea,' 'I sat through all of that movie, numb. Spencer Tracy looked like a fat, very rich actor playing a fisherman.'"

ok so we had a standing apptopntment. it was fun. Ive been awake for a really long time. I woke up at 9:00 wednesday morning. and i had a 2 hr map from 1103ish to 130ish. then my dog wouldnt let me sleep. i got like 4 text messages from my gurls. so i woke up took a chower and whent to O';broiams and had some drinks then went to carols for some good times.

Every Spring, UMHB does a thing called PlayDay. Play Day is aimed mostly at students who live on campus actually care and support the school. They bring in a carnival, a petting zoo, inflatable jumping things, they have intermural brackets and crap like that. I for one, would like 100 bucks knocked off my tuition because I wouldnt go to play day if you paid me. [ok, maybe i would, im pretty poor.] but you know what I mean.

Carol, Katy and I decided we would have our own "Play Day" we started the day off at Alvin Ord's for some sandmiches, and proceeded to Walgreens in Temple so Carol could get some pictures she had developed for Jason and Katy and I could touch everything. Next we planned on watching movies and drinking all day but settled for drinking and gossiping. We made these drinks that had Vanilla Rum and Orange crush, and it tasted like a dreamsicle. The other drink was Vanilla Rum and Canada Dry and that tasted like a cream soda. yummmmmz. We poured one out for Kelly, dont worry.

That was by far the BEST play day I've ever had. I am really gonna miss sitting around with the girls talking shit and being silly.

If you ever want a big huge cold glass of beer [bud light, coors light or miller light] you should go to Old Jody's. Marylin, Ann, Pat, Amanda, Katy and I headed over to Old Jody's for some chicken fried steak, fried pickles and burgers last night and of course we had to have the giant beer. Ann is a blur and Katy has beaver teeth. When you go, be sure to sit in "StraitLand". Its an entire section devoted to good old George Strait. Last time we were there I tried to play some classics on the jukebox, but we never heard them play our songs.

On the way home from Katy and Pat's last night, I saw three opossums walking in a line down the road. It was pretty weird. They were playing follow the leader down Canyon Creek Drive. When I got home, I looked up some stuff on wikipedia.com about them.

Im having a DTR with myself about Mr. Rogers, and how much I think I really loved him. Ive come to the conclusion that If god had mannerisims and a tone of voice, It would be Mr. Rogers. He always remembered to tell me that I was special, and that each day was better because I was in it. I remember watching sesame street and it helping me learn how to count, and reading rainbow showed me new books, but Mr. Rogers encouranged me to be a good person. I remember being really small, and being afraid to turn off the television because I thought he would know if I wasnt waiting for him to come back, after all .. we were friends.

Watch this video and look him in the eyes. I swear it will make you tear up.

I contracted the "Seals Family Plague" though some unknown source. Most likely from their house, or it could be all of that foreign money Pat had laying around. Whatever it is, you don't want it. ever. Viral Gastroenteritis

The past two days have been very boring. I'm either in the bathroom, or laying in bed watching TV. I haven't had food in two days, and can barely keep water down. But, I just had some JELLO, and it feels like its going to stay down.

I had to go and play tag in a gym for two hours followed by badminton... and only had to throw up once.
